Philip Simmons Artist-Blacksmith Guild of South Carolina

The guild is named after the famous Charleston Blacksmith, PhilipSimmons.  The chapter was started in January 1995 with 21 members.  Today, the chapter has over 100 members, not only from South Carolina, but other states as well.

The Philip Simmons Artist-Blacksmith Guild of South Carolina is organized exclusively for
educational purposes.  Our objectives are to:

We have regular meetings six times a year in various parts of the state.   The meetings are in February, April, June, August, October, and December.

NEW: We now have a forum over at Iforgeiron's web site. Glenn has been nice enough to set us up one for general guild discussion. There is also a chat room over there and an online demo every tuesday night at 10pm eastern time. Link to the forums can be found on the left.

If you would like to see pictures from some of the meetings. Check out our Events section.

Notices of upcoming meetings along with maps and/or directions can be found in our Calender section.

If you would like to see work from some of our members see our Galleries section.
If you are a member and wish to have pictures of your work displayed contact me, and we will get them posted.

A chapter newsletter is published also six times a year, typically in the months between the meetings.  It contains a write up on the previous meeting, announcement of coming meetings, tips and techniques, and a classified section.

We have added a library list of books, tapes and cd's.

The Guild site is a work in progress so bear with me until I get all the information posted.
